Richard Haig is an Oakland-based electronic musician focusing on a dark dancefloor foundation with a sinister songwriting sheen. His output is club-oriented in form, but composed for live performance, delivering energetic shows featuring live vocals and keyboards. He’s just as comfortable rocking festival stages as a front man as he is tucked away in underground DJ booths, spinning into the wee hours. Fans of Hot Chip, Röyksopp, Erol Alkan, Radiohead, and Depeche Mode would feel right at home with his output.

Having previously released under the name Panic Bomber, Richard is a Scottish-born expat who originally developed his sound in Miami, releasing on Anjunadeep and John Digweed’s Bedrock Records. He has composed for and performed with the New World Symphony Orchestra and shared stages at Ultra, EDC, SXSW, Electric Forest, and even with Yo Gabba Gabba. He currently helms the EBM-focused party Perfect Strangers in the SF Bay.

Richard’s previous releases include music on the UK’s Anjunadeep Records, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, and the Canadian YYZ Records. He has composed for and performed with the New World Symphony Orchestra in 2014 and 2015. Richard has licensed music for Michael Kors and Volkswagen, and was included on an official TRAX Magazine CD (France’s biggest electronic music publication). He has ghost-produced Hype Machine Top 10 remixes of Kanye West, Metronomy, and Phantogram. As a live performer he has played alongside Skream, Skrillex, The Juan Maclean, and MGMT and appeared at festivals such as EDC, Ultra, SXSW, Electric Forest, Hudson Project, Sunfest, Pride Toronto, as well as performing on the Yo Gabba Gabba and La Roux live tours. As a DJ, he was previously a resident and partner of the Slap & Tickle Miami collective and has spun alongside Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Chus & Ceballos, Kaytranada, John Talabot, Detroit Swindle, XXXY, Aeroplane, Jackmaster, Moonboots, Jonas Rathsman, Kaskade, and Ke$ha.
