Panic Bomber is a new breed of dance floor innovator who is quickly attracting worldwide praise. The brainchild of Richard Haig, a Miami-based musician who graduated with a degree in Music from the University of Miami, and cut his chops playing in a variety of indie rock and punk bands. The music is instantly appealing, familiar to electronic music enthusiasts yet difficult to place in any one genre, incorporating elements of electro, tech-house, trance, pop, rock, IDM, or whatever else a particular piece calls for.
Panic Bomber’s breakout track “Smooth Sailor” was featured in the February 2009 sampler of Trax, France’s biggest electronic music magazine. The Miami New Times selected him as the “Best New Electronica Artist” in their Best of Miami 2009 issue in part due to debut EP Calling in Threats. His LP released Dec 2009, Getting on My Mind, was number one album at Sweat Records in Miami the week before Christmas, and received a number of “Best Album of 2009″ accolades. PB released the Discipline EP on Canadian label YYZ Records in March 2010 to critical acclaim from the likes of Big Stereo. Getting on My Mind is currently being re-released by YYZ and distributed with the title music video at the end of 2010. He has remixed Family of the Year, Kidstreet, Jeremy Glenn, among others.
Panic Bomber’s explosive shows include live vocals, keyboards, and often a 3-piece horn section. Notable performances include sold out shows in London, Glasgow, Toronto, and Miami with appearances opening for Rihanna, La Roux, and at Pride Toronto and Ultra Music Festival.
