Biography
Panic Bomber is a new breed of dance floor innovator who is quickly attracting worldwide praise. The brainchild of Richard Haig, a Miami-based musician who graduated with a degree in Music from the University of Miami, and cut his chops playing in a variety of indie rock and punk bands. The music is instantly appealing, familiar to electronic music enthusiasts yet difficult to place in any one genre, incorporating elements of electro, tech-house, trance, pop, rock, IDM, or whatever else a particular piece calls for.
Panic Bomber’s breakout track "Smooth Sailor" was featured in the February 2009 issue and sampler of Trax, France's biggest electronic music magazine. The Miami New Times selected him as the "Best New Electronica Artist" in their Best of Miami 2009 issue in part due to debut EP Calling in Threats. His LP released December 2009, Getting on My Mind, was the number one album at Sweat Records in Miami the week before Christmas, and received a number of "Best Album of 2009" accolades. Moving forward at a prolific pace, PB is releasing the Discipline EP on Canadian label YYZ Records as well as the "Getting on My Mind" music video in March 2010.
Panic Bomber's explosive shows include live vocals, keyboards, and often a 3-piece horn section. He has performed to sold out audiences in London, Glasgow, and Miami. In 2010, Panic Bomber will be touring extensively throughout North America.

- Jun 9, 2009 • Miami NewTimes • Best of Miami 2009: Best New Electronica Artist
- The music he makes, regardless of the reasoning behind it, is slick and dance-friendly. It works up to a funky electro-house groove that's rough enough around the edges to belie its creator's rock roots. ... Look out for him at a more discerning -- hmmm, some would say "hip" -- dance club near you.
- May 12, 2009 • CoolJunkie • CoolJunkie Interviews Panic Bomber
- Not only do his performances take the crowd to an all-new high, but the music is extremely well produced as well as executed on the stage.
- February, 2009 • Trax Magazine, France (Issue 122) • Sampler CD
- This American based in Miami defeats, with disconcerting ease, an electro-pop and housey cocktail sung with strange ravey twists of direction. This music is deceptively innocent and terribly engaging.
- February 19, 2009 • Miami NewTimes • Panic Bomber Explodes at PS14 This Friday
- Like a one-man Gravitron, Panic Bomber pulls you in, spins you around, and leaves you dizzy and smiling. He looks like a neon stick figure in motion, and sounds like a male Sade stuck in a rave.
- Jan 9, 2009 • Miami NewTimes • On the List
- ...we beg you Haig, don't ever move from behind the DJ booth, because you're everything we love about electronic music.
- Jan 5, 2009 • Miami NewTimes • Disgruntled Musician Panic Bomber Brings His Dancefloor Manifesto to the Vagabond on Friday
- ...his sound is surprisingly lush, smoother and more melodic than the current crop of electro-house-producers-come lately.
- Dec 16, 2008 • Off the Radar • Panic Bomber
- He manages to mix electro, house, techno as well as touches of pop and concocted a great formula. Familiar, but with a touch of new-ness that makes it fresh to the ears.
